University Grants Commission conducts the National Eligibility Test, popularly known as UGC NET twice a year. The Candidates who qualify UGC NET are eligible for lectureship. UGC NET exam will be conducted in the month of June 2013. Eligible candidates can apply for June 2013 by going through the procedure given below:
Eligibility Criteria for NET June 2013 :
i) Candidate must have scored at least 55% in Master’s degree or in its equivalent exam
ii) Candidates who will be appearing for the Master’s degree examination can also apply for the test. However they will only be considered if they score more than 55% in Master’s Degree.
iii) SC, ST, and Candidates with disability must score more than 50% in their Master’s degree or its equivalent exam.
iv) The candidates should appear in any subject for Post-graduation.
v) SC, ST and OBC candidates must attach the attested copies of cerrtificate along with their application form.
vi) To apply for JRF a candidate should not be more than 28 years of age as on 1st June 2013. Age Relaxation is up to 5 years for category candidates.
Examination Fee:
To appear for UGC NET a general category candidate has to pay examination fee of Rs 450/-. The examination fee for Backward Class (OBC) candidates is Rs 225/- and for SC, ST candidates is Rs 110/-
