Only 1,50,000 of the top ranker in JEE Main which includes students from all categories GE, OBC (NCL), SC and ST will be eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2013 for admission to IITs, IIT BHU and ISM Dhanbad.   • Student with higher scores in Mathematics subject will be given preference first
  • Student with higher scores in Physics will be given preference
  • Student with higher scores in qualifying exam will be given preference
  • Student with higher absolute value of ratio of +ive & -ive marks will be given preference
  • If in all above rules merit becomes same then same rank will be allowed to both students

Candidates will get admission after giving a weightage of 60% to JEE Main 2013 & 40% to Class 12th Result. Candidates can check their scores on the website www.jeemain.nic.in. As already mentioned Class 12 board marks will carry 40% weight age and JEE scores will carry 60% weight age for admissions.

JEE MAIN 2013 result will be considered for the eligible in the JEE Advance 2013. The JEE Mainscore card will also open door to enter in JEE Advanced which a candidate has to take if he/she is selected for admission to the undergraduate program offered by the 13 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian School of Mines Dhanbad.
The Rank cards which will have All India, State and Category Ranks of the candidates of JEE Main 2013 result will be hosted by the official website of JEE. There will be a category wise merit list in which the candidates will be listed in the ascending order of their ranks. The Class XII marks will be considered once they are normalized. Result cards will be posted to the candidates on their residential address after 12/07/2013. It has been mentioned that if any result card is list due to the postal transit, the official bodies of JEE will not be responsible for the loss.
